The makeup live on stage makeup was last Thursday and I had with me the two winners of The Gold Face 2017, Tania and Thierry. I laughed, they laughed and then I did a little bit of makeup, just a little….
Getting directly to the makeup, I recreated on Tania, the same look that she wore when she won the modeling competition, a cut crease/smokey eyes with glitter and lashes paired with glossy nude lips.
When it comes to stage makeup there are super important rules to respect, waterproof eye makeup, long stay makeup for the lips, darker foundation with a matte finish so that it looks good with all the lights and on camera. Here are the products that I used to make sure to respect these rules:
Agnes shimmery eye shadow (Raya Cosmetiques)
Nora matte eye shadow (Raya Cosmetiques)
Reflects antique gold glitter (MAC)
Silver glitter eyeliner (Pastel)
Daily proof mascara (The Face Shop)
Waterproof Smoky Kohl Pencil - KS01 (Black Up)
Duo Lash Adhesive Dark (DUO)
Velvet Skin Primer (The Face Shop)
Smoothing Primer Brigitte (Raya Cosmetiques)
Brow Artist Genius Kit - Medium (L’Oréal)
Infaillible Foundation- 320 (L’Oréal)
Loose Setting powder - Translucent (Laura Mercier)
Compact powder – the darkest shade (Raya Cosmetiques)
PC HD Blush – Eva (Raya Cosmetiques)
Cream Colour Base- Shell (MAC)
35O - 35 Color Nature Glow Eyeshadow Palette (Morphe)
Gloss Lipshine - Gold (Black Up)
Matte Liquid Lipcolor - 1 (Black Up)
Half Red (MAC)
We started the live around 5 pm as I thought that scheduling the live makeup in the evening would allow more people to view it, after school or work, but we were all a little bit tired after our day at work. I was a bit nervous as it was the first time that I was doing a live with people a barely knew and I didn’t want it to be boring. Little didn’t I know that these two are as extrovert as I can be!
One of the viewers asking Thierry to explain the whole process of makeup and him not being so comfortable at it, and just the mix of our three personalities…. Oh God! Then Tania said something like “Thierry p fer mwa buku dukh!”” Literally Thierry is annoying me” but in Creole and Hindi. I lost it all and understood that this was the point of no return and it was officially the craziest live I have done.
Young and crazy, raw, not formatted, truly ourselves and I love that! I am thankful to these two for letting me show this part of my personality to the viewers. I can still get the job done, be kind, but at the same time enjoy the moment and be free.
That was the whole thing of the live makeup, showing that everything does not have to be perfect, it just has to be real and fun because people connect to the truth not to what looks perfect.
Don’t forget to share the live video and earn a chance of winning the amazing gifts above, from The Face Shop and Mado Parfums.
See you soon.
